Anger

Something hit a nerve and you are already writing the reply in your head.

What the Word says

Scripture · KJV
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

James 1:19-20

Scripture · KJV
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.

Ephesians 4:26-27

Practical reflection & suggested application — not Scripture

Kingdom principle

Scripture never says you will not feel anger. It says anger must not lead, must not linger, and must not become a doorway for something worse.

What this can look like in real life

You were corrected in front of other people in a tone that felt disrespectful, and everything in you wants to answer back right now.

What to do today

  • Pause before responding — even sixty seconds of silence changes the outcome.
  • Pray before you confront, not after it escalates.
  • Name the one issue that actually needs addressing, and say only that.
  • Set a deadline for the conversation so it does not carry into another day.

What to avoid

  • Answering in the same tone to prove you would not be disrespected.
  • Rehearsing the offense privately until it grows larger than it was.
  • Calling silence 'peace' when the issue genuinely needs an honest conversation.

Prayer

Father, I bring You what I am feeling instead of aiming it at a person. Give me the discipline to be slow to speak and the courage to address what truly needs addressing. Amen.

Kingdom check

What am I actually angry about — the words, or what they implied about me?

Do I want this resolved, or do I want to win?
