Heart & Emotions
Anxiety
Your mind will not stop running the same loop.
What the Word says
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1 Peter 5:7
Practical reflection & suggested application — not Scripture
Kingdom principle
Scripture replaces anxious rehearsal with specific prayer and thanksgiving. The promise is not that circumstances change first — it is that peace guards the heart while they are unresolved.
What this can look like in real life
It is 1:00 a.m. and you have solved the same problem eleven times without changing anything.
What to do today
- ♕Write the specific request instead of the general dread, and pray it out loud.
- ♕List three things God has already done — specifically, not generally.
- ♕Do the one action that is actually in your control today, then stop.
- ♕Set a cut-off time after which the problem waits until morning.
What to avoid
- —Treating worry as though it were responsible planning.
- —Making the decision at night that you would not make at noon.
- —Isolating with it.
Prayer
Father, I bring You the specific thing, not the fog. Guard my heart and my mind while I wait for what I cannot yet see. Amen.
Kingdom check
What part of this is mine to carry, and what part am I carrying that is not?
Who could I tell the truth to this week?
When to seek pastoral support
Some things are not meant to be carried alone. If this is ongoing, heavy or affecting your safety or your family, reach out to church leadership. Nothing in your private journal is ever shared — you choose what to send.
Reach out about anxiety →If you are in immediate danger or thinking of harming yourself, contact your local emergency services right away.
Sign in to save this, journal about it and track your journey. It stays private to you.
