Fear
Fear has been quietly making your decisions.
What the Word says
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Isaiah 41:10
Practical reflection & suggested application — not Scripture
Kingdom principle
Courage in Scripture is not the absence of fear. It is obedience carried out while the fear is still present, grounded in the promise of God's presence.
What this can look like in real life
There is a call you have not made, a truth you have not told, or a room you have not walked into — and it has been weeks.
What to do today
- ♕Do the one thing today that fear has been postponing.
- ♕Write the specific worst case, then write what Scripture says over it.
- ♕Tell one person what you are afraid of so it stops living in the dark.
What to avoid
- —Calling avoidance 'waiting on God'.
- —Feeding the fear with more research at midnight.
- —Making permanent decisions from a temporary feeling.
Prayer
Father, thank You that You go with me. Give me courage to obey today, in the exact place I have been avoiding. Amen.
