Temptation

The same pull, the same time, the same place.

What the Word says

Scripture · KJV
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

Scripture · KJV
A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

Proverbs 22:3

Practical reflection & suggested application — not Scripture

Kingdom principle

Temptation is common, not disqualifying. Scripture promises a way of escape and commends the prudent person who sees it coming and adjusts in advance.

What this can look like in real life

You know the exact hour it usually shows up, and you still walk into it unprepared.

What to do today

  • Map the pattern: when, where, and what precedes it.
  • Put one concrete obstacle in the path today.
  • Decide your response in advance and write it down.

What to avoid

  • Improvising in the moment.
  • Testing yourself to see if you have grown.
  • Waiting to feel stronger before you change anything.

Prayer

Lord, make me prudent. Show me the escape and give me the will to take it. Amen.

Kingdom check

Where is my way of escape, and will I take it?
